Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants the Premier League to unite in condemning the incident that saw Antonio Rudiger pelted by objects from fans against Tottenham.
The Blues came away with a comfortable 2-0 win over Spurs at home in the Premier League on Sunday.
However, the game was soured by Rudiger being targeted by a missile by the away fans during the game.
Tuchel said: "I love to have them (fans) close to the pitch. Not behind fences and not behind nets. It's a brilliant atmosphere.
"In general I'm not concerned. I enjoy this atmosphere, also in away stadiums, it's brilliant.
"If it's a new trend we should act together to stop it as soon as possible to protect the environment of this game and the atmosphere that's absolutely unique in England."
