Manchester United have recalled Will Fish from his season-long loan at Stockport County.

Fish, 18, has struggled for game time at the National League club, making only four appearances across all competitions.

The teenager's hopes of regular playing time were not helped by a change of manager back in October either, when Dave Challinor came in to replace Simon Rusk.

Fish also spent a significant amount of time away on international duty, being called up by the England U19s side during both the September and October international breaks.

United opted to trigger a recall clause included in the original loan agreement as they contemplated the next step in his fledgling career.
