Kota Kinabalu: Kuamut assemblyman Datuk Masiung Banah has dismissed speculations that he has decided to join a new Sabah party to be formed.

He said in a statement today that there have been offers from national parties and local ones who offered the appointed posts of deputy president and vice-president but he was still undecided.

“So far I am still an independent representative who supports the government and am not interested in joining any party as my political platform.

"Just wait...when the time comes, I will make an official announcement," said the Chairman of the Housing and Urban Development Board.
