
Kota Kinabalu: Police detained three suspected drug syndicate members and seized syabu worth more than RM300,000 in a drug operation here on Wednesday.
City Police Chief ACP Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said the two-day operation was carried out by a team from the Sabah Police Contingent’s Narcotics Criminal Investigations Department.
He said the first arrest was made at about 2.45pm on a 37-year-old man at Lorong Ranggung, Likas, who had attempted to flee after noticing police's presence.
Zaidi said police managed to detain the man with a box filled with seven packs containing syabu weighing 7.174kg.
