Cagliari coach Walter Mazzarri hailed his players for their 2-1 win against Bologna on Monday night.
Riccardo Orsolini had Bologna ahead before Cagliari fought back via goals from Leonardo Pavoletti and Gaston Pereiro.
Mazzarri beamed: “The guys I have at my disposal gave their soul, they played a great game against a strong team with an important staff. We deserved the win.
“I have to congratulate Gaston. He's often been on the sidelines, he's grown and found himself. He gave us a big hand in this victory.
“These are guys who have embraced my tactical beliefs and I'm starting to see my team. They trusted me and started playing the way I like. My compliments also to Lovato.
