West Ham United are ready to make another attempt to bring Jesse Lingard to the club in January.
The Hammers wanted to sign Lingard in the summer, but a deal could not be agreed between all parties.
Now that he is out of contract in the summer, Manchester United may be willing to let him leave for a cut-price fee.
According to the Express, West Ham will test the waters with a January offer to see if interim boss Ralf Ranginck would be willing to let Lingard leave for regular football mid-season.
If United do not allow him to depart, a summer move to West Ham on a free transfer appears the most likely outcome.
