Southampton youngster Ramello Mitchell is trialling with Bristol City.

The Daily Echo says the Robins' under-23s played away at Swansea City and forward Mitchell is said to have started, with the match finishing 2-2.

The 19-year-old forward cost Saints around £300k to prize from Birmingham City as a 16-year-old starlet but his progress has hit a bit of a wall in Premier League 2.

Mitchell netted his first goal of the season in the EFL Trophy clash versus Crawley Town, which finished 4-0 to Saints, but is yet to score at all in league competition.

The youngster has only started in four of his league appearances this campaign, and after 23 matches in total in Premier League 2 over two seasons – the under-23 age-group division – has not scored at all.

Mitchell's contract is set to expire at the end of June 2022.
