Teden Mengi has revealed he consulted with Manchester United teammate Tahith Chong before joining Birmingham City.
The young defender has moved to St. Andrews on a loan move until the end of the season.
Speaking to the Championship club's website, Mengi said: "As soon as I heard about Blues, I was straight on the phone to Chongy and he told me it is great, that the lads are great.
"I am going to enjoy it and that everyone is a nice person.
"So, I am just looking forward to it, to meeting all of the boys and to getting going."
