LABUAN: The Umno machinery throughout the country is ready in all aspects to ensure that the party continues to remain steadfast and relevant among the people.
Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said the party was continuing its efforts to understand and resolve people’s difficulties and grievances at all levels.
“We in Umno are preparing ourselves to remain relevant and accepted by the people.
“Umno has always been known to serve the people, no matter if it is in the Government or otherwise,” he told reporters after holding a meeting with the Labuan Umno leadership, here, Monday.
Bung said Umno, which was part of the Federal Government and Sabah State Government, had used the existing platform to fight for the fate of the people of various races at various levels.
He said among the key focus of the Umno machinery now was to meet with young voters.
“Young voters will cast their votes in the next General Election, of course, the Umno machinery must approach them to understand their needs,” he said.
Bung added that Umno would have to delve into the intricacies of the social media platform, which is the favourite among the youths.
