Kota Kinabalu: A 28-year-old man will know on March 10 whether he has a case to answer on a charge of raping an underaged girl.
Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus set the date for Shahreyan Shah Lagayu via Zoom.
Shahreyan is accused of raping the 16-year-old girl inside a car at the Likas Sport Complex, here, between 10pm and 11.59pm on Nov 10, 2019.
The offence under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to 20 years, and whipping, on conviction.
Meanwhile, two men were charged with repeatedly to taking syabu.
However, no plea was taken from Ahmad Rudin Hamid and Mojahiddin Mohd Amin after the charge against them had been read to them separately.
The pathology report and previous conviction record are not ready.
The court set March 16 for the case to be re-mentioned and the duo was ordered remanded further pending the date.
