Chelsea do want to move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland this summer.
However, the club have concerns about Haaland's ability to replicate his form in a tougher league.
According to the Evening Standard, the club is also worried that the Norway international may struggle to find the same space in England that he enjoys in the Bundesliga.
Reports in the European press have suggested that the 21-year-old prefers a move to Real Madrid, rather than going to Chelsea or Manchester City in England.
Premier League clubs may also be worried about Haaland struggling to adapt to the league, in the same fashion as Jadon Sancho at Manchester United, or Kai Havertz and Timo Werner at Chelsea.
