Romelu Lukaku has sent Chelsea into the Club World Cup final with the only goal of a tough semi-final against Al-Hilal at the Mohamed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The Belgian struck with 32 minutes on the clock to book Chelsea's meeting with Brazilian outfit Palmeiras on Saturday.
The goal came from Kai Havertz's left-wing cross, which was inadvertently directed into the path of Lukaku, who could not miss from point-blank range.
The Blues will look to capture the only trophy that has evaded them across Roman Abramovich's 19-year ownership of the club.
Manager Thomas Tuchel missed the game as he was isolating after testing positive for Covid-19.
It wasn't easy for Chelsea towards the end of the match as Kepa Arrizabalaga denied Moussa Marega from eight yards out, before Odion Ighalo and Kanno saw shots blocked.
Speaking after the game, assistant Zsolt Low said: "We [Chelsea] worked very hard, but we missed a little bit of freedom and rhythm.
"We started a little bit nervously and didn't do the easy things. We fought hard to find a solution on the pitch, but we didn't find it easy.
"To get to the final of this competition is very important for the club.
:We have never won it and that's why the players felt the pressure but they did very well to not concede and we had opportunities to score a second goal."
