Chelsea's Ethan Ampadu was a target for Serie A outfit Fiorentina in the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old has impressed with Venezia this term, despite the club sitting in 18th spot in the Serie A table.
Fiorentina, who are in eighth spot, wanted to take him on for the remainder of the season, per football.london.
However, Chelsea chose to keep him at Venezia for continuity, and Fiorentina did not pursue the matter further.
Ampadu may be given a first team chance next term by the Blues, or he may go out on loan again in the summer.
