KUALA LUMPUR – A man was caught red-handed allegedly posing as a police officer in a viral video while cutting into another driver’s lane without turning on his signal lights.

In the video posted by Facebook user Aaron Goh, the driver of a silver Persona was seen swerving directly into the right lane without warning, nearly resulting in a collision.

As the other motorist continued to drive on, the Persona driver tailgated him and gave a honk before winding down in window and waving a pair of handcuffs in an attempt to intimidate him before cutting into his lane again.

Investigations ongoing

In the post, Aaron said that he suspected the Persona driver was a police officer as he owned a handcuff.

Why is the police able to cut off people’s lane without putting his signal lights and [even] show off his handcuff in the middle of the road? This is KL not GTA […].”

However, netizens believed something fishier was going on and urged him to lodge a police report.

Speaking to WeirdKaya, Aaron said that he had lodged a police report at two police stations but declined to comment further as the investigation is still ongoing.

However, I think they will make a public announcement soon because this has caught their attention,” he said.
