England coach Gareth Southgate is scouting Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey.
The Daily Mail says Ramsey is on the radar of Southgate after his stunning recent form for Aston Villa.
The midfielder scored twice in Wednesday's thrilling 3-3 draw with Leeds at Villa Park, prompting manager Steven Gerrard - a former England skipper who won 114 caps - to tip him for full international honours.
And it is understood Ramsey, 20, is now firmly in contention for a place in Southgate's squad for next month's friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast, as England step up their preparations for the World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year.
Ramsey became a first-team regular at Villa only this season but has already registered five goals and one assist in the league and developed an immediate understanding with Philippe Coutinho.
