
Liverpool whizkid Harvey Elliott was elated after his goal against Cardiff City on Sunday.
Making his first appearance since September after suffering a serious ankle injury, Elliott in the 3-1 victory which helped Liverpool reach the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Speaking to ITV post-match, the 18-year-old said: "It's still hard to put into words at the moment.
"This is what I'm in the team to do – to score and assist. Thankfully it's come today in front of the crowd after having a long time out.
"At the end of the day, it's my job, so I've just got to keep doing it. It's a moment that myself and my family will remember."
On the strike itself, he continued: "It wasn't too bad!
"I've been watching my man next to me, Diogo, he's been banging them in left, right and centre for us, so I've been getting a few tips off him.
"It's nice to score and how it came to me, you've just got to finish it how it comes. I'm just thankful I was able to do it."
