Covid-19: 21,315 new cases recorded Monday — Health D-G

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 — Malaysia recorded a slight increase in new Covid-19 cases, at 21,315 today compared with 21,072 cases reported yesterday, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Dr Noor Hisham, via his official Twitter account, said the cumulative number of cases now stands at 3,061,550.

He said 99.59 per cent, or 21,228, of the total new cases were in Categories One and Two, while 87 cases, or 0.41 per cent, were in Categories Three, Four, and Five.

Categories One and Two refer to patients who have no symptoms and mild symptoms, Category Three involves lung infections, Category Four involves lung infections and requiring oxygen, while Category Five refers to critical cases with organ damage and requiring ventilator assistance.
