
Kota Kinabalu: A mountain climbing trainer was elated to experience what he said to be snow on Mt Kinabalu for three minutes today, according to a report.
Hajiris Sulomin, 46, a Mountain Torq Via Ferrata trainer, recorded the scene from Sayat-Sayat hut at the height of 3.668 metres, NST reported.
His one-minute clip on the Mountain Torq Facebook page was shared by at least 7,700 users when the report was published.
"Wow, it is snowing at Mount Kinabalu. Opurak…opurak (white in Dusun language) just like at the white people's place. What a beautiful view!" Hajiris exclaims in the footage.
The phenomenon started at 6.52am and lasted until about 6.55am, according to him.
