15ft croc rescued at factory in Bintulu

MIRI – The Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) has rescued a 5m-long crocodile that had wandered into the compound of an industrial site in Bintulu district, in northern Sarawak.

In a press statement issued by the authority, it stated that they received a complaint from Sarawak PetChem factory’s management that the wild animal had wandered into their premises this morning.

“The SFC unit managed to capture the crocodile and subdue it safely. It was trapped inside a stream.

“The SFC would like to thank the company workers for their cooperation in the rescue effort,” said the statement.

It took five men to subdue the big crocodile that was found inside the Sarawak PetChem industrial site.

The beast, measuring more than 15 feet, has been identified as an adult female.

It has been sent to the Taman Tumbina nature park nearby. – The Vibes, February 25, 2022
