MyKads compromised in Sabah

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) President Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee said the integrity of MyKads as the accepted form of Malaysian indentification was allowed to be compromised in Sabah by certain previous Federal leaders through the issuance of dubious identity cards from the 1990s.

He said even the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) on Illegal Immigrants in its report published in 2017 recorded, as fact, of many, many proven cases of MyKads issued to foreigners who had falsely declared themselves to be born in Sabah.
