A step forward in the agreement signed with the local league that LaLiga will coordinate through its educational department, LaLiga Business School
Kuala Lumpur, February 4, 2022 – LaLiga continues to create partnerships and exchange knowledge with the best leagues and football federations on an international level. Spain’s LaLiga will provide a specialised course in management to executives of the Malaysian League and its clubs. Training will be online and will be delivered over 3 days focusing on the pillars from which LaLiga has achieved its growth, success and expansion. The economic controls implemented by LaLiga in 2013, have achieved a financially healthy and more balanced competition, improved sports marketing, the centralised sale of audiovisual rights, digitalisation and a successful internationalisation process. Other topics that will be covered include corporate social responsibility, the use of Big Data in the sports industry, apps and games, and brand activation.
The course is part of the collaboration project the two leagues are working on after signing a MoU (memorandum of understanding) in 2018, which was ratified last year by Óscar Mayo, executive general director of LaLiga and Dato Ab Ghani Hassan, President of the Malaysian League. As a result, LaLiga takes another step forward in its commitment to quality and specialised training, and strategy of sharing and exchanging knowledge with other leagues and federations around the world to help in the development of football on an international level.
Thus, Malaysia joins a number of countries where LaLiga Business School is developing educational projects, including the agreements with the CBF Academy of the Brazilian Football Confederation, as well as with prestigious universities such as the University of Canberra (Australia), ESLSCA University (Egypt), Sasin (Thailand) and Columbia University (United States).
