Leeds United striker Ryan Edmonson is loving life with Port Vale.

Edmonson swapped loan spells from Fleetwood Town to Port Vale last month and scored his first goal for the club in Tuesday's draw with Forest Green.

He told Stoke-on-Trent Live : "The fans were different class. On a Tuesday night especially, it is difficult to get fans down to the ground so it is all credit to them. I don't think we could have put in the performance we did without them.

"I have loved coming into the club. It is a really positive environment and I think for a young striker to get off the mark this early… especially with the players, manager and coaching staff around you, supporting you 100 per cent.

"I just can't wait to get going again on Saturday."
