Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa says Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay deserved to stay on the pitch during Sunday's defeat.
McTominay clashed with Robin Koch, which left the Leeds defender with a head injury.
"It was right because he didn't have any intention to hit Koch," said Bielsa. "The clash did not even generate a foul because he didn't have any intention.
"So a very important conclusion this episode leaves, that even as grave a foul a player can commit, if he doesn't have the intention of committing it, he should not be severely punished, like how Pascal Struijk was punished for the tackle [on Liverpool's] Harvey Elliott.
"Our conduct in the face of this action is the same that Elliott had in that moment to say there was no bad intention and Pascal did not deserve to be punished."
