Cristiano Ronaldo is agonising over whether to leave Manchester United this summer.

Ronaldo, who turned 37 last week, is understood to have told pals that he is feeling his age for the first time in his long, illustrious trophy-laden career, says The Sun.

The Portugal legend would never publicly admit that the demands of the English top-flight are becoming too much — even for a fitness fanatic like him.

But Ronaldo may seek to cut short and abandon his planned two-year return to United.

That is if his own situation and that of the team does not change at Old Trafford.

The veteran striker has not scored in five appearances this year and was kept on the bench for most of Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Burnley.

United's squad is far inferior to the one he starred in under Sir Alex Ferguson and he feels this is the main factor in his own fluctuating form and influence.

But Ronaldo also recognises he has to work harder than ever to stay in the shape required to play at the top level - especially in the system favoured by interim boss Ralf Rangnick who likes players to press high and hard.
