Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded a lower but still high number of new Covid-19 cases today at 4,794 and registered three new school clusters.
Today's number was 288 fewer than yesterday, said an update shared by Sabah's spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun.
However, sporadic infections at 64.2 percent of the new cases were still too many and indicated future daily caseloads will remain high.
The three new clusters were found at SMK Taun Gusi 2 in Kota Belud (19 cases so far), SMK Ulu Sugut in Ranau (49 cases) and SMK Kemburongoh also in Ranau (54 cases).
Meanwhile, Sabah's first school cluster this year at SMK Tambunan closed today.
