Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick has lifted the lid on the absence of Raphael Varane against Brighton.
The Red Devils played out a hard-fought 2-0 home win against the Albion on Tuesday in the Premier League.
However, French centre-back Varane was not involved, despite initially being on the teamsheet for the game.
Rangnick stated post-game: "On the way from the hotel after dinner and team meeting, he had stomach problems.
"We were hoping to get rid of it with medication but he did not feel well and that is why we played with Victor Lindelof instead."
