Sabah’s Covid-19 cases soar to 4,035, expect more infections: Masidi

KOTA KINABALU – The coronavirus has “no love or mercy” on Valentine’s Day, said Sabah minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun as the state logs another 4,035 daily cases, a spike of 144 compared with yesterday.

Masidi, who is also Sabah Covid-19 spokesman, said symptomatic cases has risen to 61.07% as he warned of more infections in the future.

“Some 68.2% of Kota Kinabalu’s 914 cases are symptomatic and 518 children below the age of 11 are infected.”

He added that the majority of today’s cases (99.74%) are in Categories 1 and 2, while Categories 3 and 4 each have four cases, and two patients are in Category 5.
