Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Builders Association (SBA) said 2022 will be a hard and challenging year for contractors due to soaring prices of major building materials and labour shortage amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Its President Henry Tsen said the increase in cement price by RM45 per tonne or 17 per cent in November last year has triggered a chain reaction of price hikes of other major materials.
