Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) concurred with constitutional expert Datuk Dr Shad Saleem Faruqi’s views on Article 153 of the Federal Constitution, which relates to the rights of Sabah and its people, which seems to have not been respected by the Federal Government for a long time.

Sabah Bersatu Information Chief Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan said the percentage of elected representatives (Members of Parliament) in Sabah and Sarawak when combined is only 25 per cent of all parliamentary seats in Malaysia and clearly violated the Constitution under Article 153, which must be respected and implemented for a better future by the people of Sabah and Sarawak.
