Salernitana have sacked coach Stefano Colauntuano.
Colantuano, 59, joined Salernitana in mid-October following the dismissal of previous coach Fabrizio Castori.
Castori is being linked with a return, as he remains on contract with Salernitana.
However, former Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo is also in the frame and talks have commenced.
Pirlo has assured Salernitana he'd accept a long-term deal and be willing to lead the club in Serie B should they be relegated.
