He joined on a two-year loan in the summer, but has not progressed enough for the Rossoneri to justify securing him permanently.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, he may even return to Chelsea when this season concludes, with another loan or permanent sale the most likely outcome for his future.
Bakayoko shone as a youngster at AS Monaco, but his career has not progressed the way he may have expected.
