Aston Villa ace Philippe Coutinho says manager Steven Gerrard is still good enough to play in the Premier League.
The pair are former Liverpool teammates and Coutinho joined Villa this season on-loan from Barcelona.
Asked if Gerrard can still play, Coutinho replied: "Yes, definitely.
"When we sometimes miss a player, he is with us and we can see that he has not lost anything.
"He could still play.
"He was always an idol for me and I'm really happy to work with him again."
