Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp revealed Diogo Jota had to come off due to a foot injury.

The Portuguese forward was forced off the field at half=time against Inter Milan at the San Siro in the Champions League round of 16 first leg.

The Reds won the game without Jota in the second half, with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah netting the goals.

"I'm really happy with everything, apart from that Diogo had to go over with something around the ankle ligament," Klopp said post-game.

"We'll see, we don't know exactly. He could play on obviously which was a good sign, but at half-time the ankle was swollen and we had to change.

"Apart from that, it was another adult performance and I'm really happy about that."
