KLANG – A gang of thieves snuck into a 7-Eleven store located here and blew up an ATM machine before making their getaway at around 4.50am today (Feb 8).
In a Facebook post, a netizen shared CCTV footage showing the thieves placing a handmade bomb near the ATM machine, which exploded seconds later.
They were also seen scooping the cash into two duffel bags before fleeing the scene.
North Klang district police chief Assistant Commissioner S. Vijaya Rao confirmed the incident to China Daily and said police had received a public report over the matter.

“We’ve also deployed officers from the Criminal Division and Selangor Scientific Forensic team to the scene and are tracking down the culprits and the stolen cash.
However, the amount of cash stolen is yet to be confirmed.
The case is now being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for burglary and breaking-in.
