Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein is set to face two months on the sidelines.

The 19-year-old suffered a freak accident at home, resulting in a torn thumb ligament.

The keeper is spending the season on loan at Reading, and is likely to now go back to Arsenal for rehabilitation.

Their manager Paul Ince spoke about the incident recently.

He said: "[Hein] fell in his house and took the ligament off his bone in his thumb.

"So they're talking four to six weeks out if he doesn't need surgery or two months if it does."
