Newcastle boss Eddie Howe was happy to see Christian Eriksen on the pitch for Brentford.
Eriksen made his debut in the 2-0 defeat, his first appearance since a cardiac arrest at last summer's Euros.
Howe said: "It was an amazing moment and you felt the emotion in the stadium.
"I was absolutely focused in that moment on trying to win the game, but even I broke away and sent my best to him as he entered the pitch."
