
Kota Kinabalu: The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has decided to postpone some of its scheduled programmes and CNY activities. LDP Information Chief Simon Chin said the party’s CNY Luncheon Gathering with the local media today (Feb. 7) was postponed to later date due to Covid-19.
The CNY press gathering was supposed to be held at a restaurant in Luyang starting 11.30am Monday.
Kota Kinabalu City Hall has also postponed all its upcoming events.
Mayor Datuk Noorliza Awang Alip said the local authority had prepared various events for its 22nd-anniversary celebrations.
Among them this month and March include dance competition, street soccer, football and badminton championships, expeditions on Sungai Darau and Tambuyukon mountain, orchids exhibition, and Scavenger Hunt, among others.
Also affected is the City Half Marathon, which is scheduled to be held on Feb 27. Co-organised with Kinabalu Running Club. The event only limits 200 runners with a fee of RM227 per person.
Sabah Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun recently said the cases in the state rose to 1,205 from 909 lately.
