Fulham owner Shahid Khan says losing Fabio Carvalho last month was never going to happen.
Liverpool came close to securing a deal to sign the youngster, but a move fell collapsed at the final hurdle on deadline day.
The White's owner spoke about Carvalho in his programme notes for their home game against Huddersfield this afternoon, saying he is 'very much part of the plan' to get promoted this season.
"Finally, one last piece on the transfer window. We did receive a lot of interest in Fabio Carvalho, but he wasn't going anywhere in the last window," Khan wrote.
"We are targeting promotion and Fabio is very much part of that plan and we can all see that he too is committed to that aim, regardless of what his future might look like after this season is over."
