As per Dr Noor Hisham's tweet today (Feb. 6), the spike has now bumped the nation's cumulative infections to 2,914,220- the majority falling under categories 1 and 2.
The new record marks the nation's first 5-digit cases in four months!
Meanwhile, the Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin noted the figure signifies that Malaysia is now "fully in Omicron wave", with cases predicted to reach 15K soon.
