Crystal Palace have thrashed Watford in a 4-1 victory at Vicarage Road on Wednesday.

Jean Philippe-Mateta opened the scoring after 15 minutes but Moussa Sissoko equalised for Watford just three minutes later.

Palace eventually regained the lead after Conor Gallagher scored his eighth goal of the season.

The Chelsea loanee took a cross down brilliantly before firing past Ben Foster.

A quickfire brace from Wilfried Zaha in the dying stages saw Palace clinch all three points.

Patrick Vieira's side move up to 11th on 29 points after their first Premier League win since December.

For Watford, the result deepens their relegation fears after Burnley overcame Tottenham on Wednesday.

The Hornets remain four points behind 17th-placed Newcastle United, who have a game in hand over Roy Hodgson's side.
