Watford boss Roy Hodgson says he needs the senior players to step up.
Asked about the importance of players like his captain Moussa Sissoko, Hodgson said it was up to players like him to act as a conduit for information between the manager and the rest of the team.
"Up to now I can only say I'm more than happy with what he's trying to do from the dressing room to help us, coaches and managers to get our ideas across," he said of Sissoko. "And we need his performances. And not just him.
"I could name others. I could name people like Ben Foster, I can name Cathcart, I could name Cleverley because often it will be the English ones, to some extent, who've been here much longer being the leaders who really need to step forward and help the others. I still think Kiko Femenia could be a big help for some aspects as well."
