Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s huge potential in scuba tourism has captured the attention of Turkish Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr Merve Safa Kavakci, who called for closer cooperation with the State in tourism and education.
She noted the involvement of Turkish athlete Sahika Ercumen, the current world record holder for variable weight free diving without breathing, in the collaborative programme with Sabah Tourism Board (STB), which is set to put Sabah on the map of Turkey as an exciting, must-visit tourism destination.
