Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers made no excuses for a supporter who ran onto the pitch in their FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest.

The Championship side beat Leicester 4-1, but the game was marred by a Leicester fan running up to the Forest players as they celebrated a goal.

The fan appeared to throw punches in the direction of the players, and was eventually taken away by security.

Asked about the matter post-game, Rodgers said: "There's no room for it and I'm sure as a club we'll deal with that. It should never happen, no matter how disappointing your team is and how they've been playing.

"The players have to be safe on the field. It was a great atmosphere today. I feel a big disappointment for our supporters, but we can never accept that behaviour."
