Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta wants talks with managing director Marina Granovskaia over his contract situation.

The Spaniard's contract runs up at the end of the season and could be set to leave the club with Barcelona manager Xavi interested in bringing him to the Nou Camp.

Mundo Deportivo says the 32-year-old 'wants a face-to-face meeting' with Granovskaia as soon as possible, to sort out whether he will stay at Stamford Bridge past the end of this season.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will also be keen to get Azpilicueta's situation resolved, especially with Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen also in the final few months of their current contracts.

It's said that Xavi is prioritising a right-back for Barcelona in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Azpilicueta is seen as the player who best fits the profile with the club already 'making serious moves' in their attempts to sign the Spaniard.
