Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden and his family were involved in a fight outside what appears to be his box at the AO Manchester Arena on Saturday night.

Foden was amongst several high-profile names watching Amir Khan and Kell Brook battle it out in the boxing ring in Manchester.

A video posted on social media shows a group of three men, with one more laughing behind the camera, following and verbally abusing the 21-year-old.

A member of arena staff guided Foden into a room resembling a private box, out of which his mother emerged to confront the group of men, asking who was 'calling him', says the Daily Express.

Visibly angry, she then told them to 'f*** off' before shoving one of the abusers, who nearly feel to the ground, and he responded by punching her in the face.

Tensions spiked and a scrap ensued as other members of Foden's party, including the player himself, looked to fend off the assaulter and his associates down a corridor.

Foden's mother looked to be struck to the ground after another punch later in the clip before one of the City star's party tried, and failed, to clatter a young member of the group over the head with a fire extinguisher.

The same person missed again before throwing the fire extinguisher at the group of men, before the video ended shortly after when they were some distance down the corridor.
