Everton attacker Andros Townsend says the first week under new manager Frank Lampard has been positive.
Townsend jumped from the bench to score in Saturday's FA Cup win against Brentford.
He has been impressed by the 43-year-old's methods in the early stages of his tenure - and believes his ideals align perfectly with those of Evertonians.
"I think everyone knows Frank the player," he said. "Speaking about the manager, he's obviously young, very modern, fresh ideas, likes to play attacking football high up the pitch, as you saw today.
"We played with two wing-backs but, as a matter of fact, they were more like wingers.
"He wants to play up the pitch - exactly what the fans want, so, hopefully it's going to be a good match with the manager and the great fans we have here."
