Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of raping a woman.
The Englishman, 20, was also arrested on suspicion of assault on Sunday following allegations on social media.
Manchester United previously said Greenwood would not return to training or matches until further notice.
Magistrates had granted a second extension to keep Greenwood in custody until Wednesday but he had now been bailed pending further investigations.
