A rampant Liverpool closed the gap on leaders Manchester City with a 6-0 win over Leeds United.

The Reds grabbed their sixth Premier League win in a row to reduce City's lead at the top to three points.

It could have been much more than six for Liverpool as they tore apart Marcelo Bielsa's side from start to finish.

Mohamed Salah opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 15 minutes following a handball from Stuart Dallas.

Egypt star Salah turned provider to make it 2-0, setting up Joel Matip with an inch-perfect pass.

The night just kept getting better for Salah as he scored from the penalty spot again, this time after Sadio Mane was brought down by Luke Ayling.

Leeds would have felt aggrieved not to win a penalty early in the second-half for a challenge on Dan James.

Salah then missed a golden chance to walk away with the match ball after lifting the ball into the stands following a neat one-two with Curtis Jones.

It didn't matter however as Liverpool made it four through Sadio Mane after 80 minutes.

Mane grabbed his second ten minutes with a simple tap-in before Virgil van Dijk made it six after being left unmarked to head home Andy Robertson's corner.
