New MySejahtera update requires users to upload photo of test results

KUALA LUMPUR – The updated MySejahtera app now requires users to upload a photograph of their test results, among others, when revising their health status.

It will also ask for details such as where and when the self-tests were done as well as their outcome.

The update pushed to users last night is categorised under “Covid-19 Self-Report” on the app’s main page, after which users can go to “Update Covid-19 Result”.

In the app’s previous iteration, users only needed to complete a digital form when declaring their self-test results – marked either as positive, negative, or invalid.

The Health Ministry has advised the public to conduct regular self-tests, especially before attending a public gathering or meeting at-risk family and friends.

It has also mandated that patients undergo a seven-day quarantine if asymptomatic and 10 days if symptomatic or not fully vaccinated.

Close contacts who have received their booster jabs are required to undergo a five-day self quarantine, while those who have not or are not fully vaccinated will have to observe seven days in isolation. – The Vibes, February 22, 2022
