Inter Milan GM Beppe Marotta says he's happy for Christian Eriksen as he prepares to make his debut for Brentford today.
Eriksen had his contract terminated by Inter this season as Italian law denies athletes to compete who need heart assistance.
Marotta said, "I am happy for him, as he suffered so much.
"The Premier League has rules that authorise him to continue his work and Inter wish him a career full of satisfaction.
"In Italy the rules are very rigid, as is only right, and so he simply could not continue any sporting activity here."
Eriksen will see action against Newcastle today.
